No Surprises Act
Your Right to a Good Faith Estimate
NO SURPRISES ACT
Under the federal No Surprises Act, which took effect January 1, 2022, healthcare providers must give clients who are uninsured or not using insurance a Good Faith Estimateof the expected cost of services.
Watermark Counseling KC is a private-pay practice and does not bill insurance, so every client has the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate.
What This Means for You
Therapy is personal, and the number of sessions you need depends on your goals and progress. You decide how long you want to be in therapy. Your Good Faith Estimate will be based on the expected number and frequency of sessions and my current fees, and I will review and update it with you as needed. An estimate can cover up to 12 months of services.
Free 15-minute consultations are provided at no cost.
